The Benefits of Reiki
Reiki treatments can be effective for relaxation, pain management, reduced anxiety and depression. Some benefits of Reiki include improved sleep, improved digestion, and stronger self-esteem. Many hospitals in the USA are beginning to offer Reiki for patients before and after surgery, as requested by the patient.
How does a Reiki treatment work?
A Reiki treatment can give the client deep relaxation, which stimulates, supports, and accelerates the body’s natural healing ability. Reiki can help your body by helping it to clear out toxins. Releasing and clearing toxins can recharge and rebalance your energy and vitality. Reiki awakens our body’s own natural healing powers.
What happens during a Reiki treatment?
The client is lying, fully clothed on a massage table in a tranquil environment. Your Jikiden Reiki® practioner, who has undergone supervised hands on training, will place their hands on the client’s head, shoulders, legs, feet, and the area of pain during the session, which can last 30 to 90 minutes. The Reiki practioner is a conduit for the Reiki to go to areas of the body experiencing discomfort. Recipient’s experience of feelings from comforting warmth to soothing cold. Often times a client’s relaxation can turn into a peaceful, restorative nap. Reiki is still at work!
After your Reiki Session
Toxins are dissolved and can be released by the body, during the Reiki treatment. Reactions then may include headache or even nausea. These are normal reactions and a sign that cleansing is taking place. Your body is moving toward a healthier state. To assist your body in clearing out toxins: be sure to drink plenty of water, rest, call with any questions or concerns, and schedule another Reiki session.
